The Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that a high COVID-19 immunization rate had been achieved among members of the Kingdom’s population aged 60 years and over. Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah said the country’s leadership was keen to provide highly effective vaccines to tackle the virus.
Dr. Abdullah Assiri, assistant deputy minister of preventive health, said that a delay in receiving a second dose could better stimulate immunity in some vaccines. “There is no need to worry about delaying the second dose for some groups of society for the public good, and the follow-up of immunity levels after the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines shows that there is no ideal period between the two doses,” he added.

Under the age of  18, the teenagers or kids who had not taken the Covid-19 vaccine jab and the people with special exemptions for health reasons will be allowed to enter the commercial outlets and Shopping Malls in Saudi Arabia  despite the new law comes into force from August 1 2021.

2nd dose delay if gets corona after 1st

On Monday, a Ministry of Commerce representative said the boycott would not make a difference to those younger than 18 who had not been vaccinated or individuals in danger of having unfriendly responses to COVID-19 vaccination.

Around 15.9 million covid-19 jabs have been given in the Kingdom so far, yet the Ministry of Interior has requested that people entering shops and other business outlets probably had one dose or been immunized subsequent to recovering from COVID-19 except if they fell into age sections or gatherings not committed to take the antibody. Eman Al-Shethry, an administration worker, disclosed to Arab News: “Entering a retail outlet realizing that the majority of individuals inside are either completely or incompletely immunized will cause me to feel more secure and more loose.

“I feel that when individuals who are distrustful of vaccinations see others moving  around unreservedly, they would see that immunizations are not startling or destructive.”

Dr. Osama Ghanem Al-Obaidy, a law educator at the Institute of Public Administration in Riyadh, said: “The forbidding of unvaccinated people from entering shopping centers is a welcome move in the battle against the Covid. The exclusion of kids from such prerequisites is likewise a welcome move.”

In the mean time, Saudi Arabia on Monday recorded 1,109 new COVID-19 cases, implying that 466,906 individuals in the nation had now gotten the illness. An aggregate of 10,075 cases stayed dynamic, of which 1,596 patients were in basic condition.

Among them the most discussed by self styled street medicos is that Covid-19 vaccination causes impotency in men and other health issues in women.

Today Dr.Abdullah Assiri Assistant Deputy Minister for Preventive health KSA has debunked  the false claims that the vaccination may have long lasting ill effects. He said in a tweet

“The myth is that we do not  know about the long term effects of vaccines. The truth is vaccines are nearly a century old and there is no such thing as long term effects of any vaccine”

After stimulating the immune system the vaccine disappears from the body and nothing is left of the vaccine in the body” He Said.

Dr.Abdullah Assiri’s tweet  on thursday has done a great service to the society in clearing doubts  about the myths doing rounds in the society pertaining to the Covid-19 vaccination ill effects.
