If the employer reports that the employee has absconded then the Expat is under Huroob (runaway status)

Many Expatriates who come to work in Saudi Arabia are under Huroob status as many expats run from their employer or sponsor and try to find other better job or employer.

The Tawakkalna application recently announced that expatriates can register themselves on it even if the validity period of their residency permits (iqamas) has expired. It is also permissible for those who are staying in Saudi Arabia on visit visas to register on the Tawakkalna app. For this, their presence in Saudi Arabia is mandatory. The authorities have made downloading & activation of Tawakkalna app mandatory when entering commercial centers, shopping malls and super markets across the regions in the Kingdom.

Along with fine and imprisonment they will be deported to their home country also lose a chance of returning back to the kingdom ever again.

Expats with Huroob cannot return to Saudi again (Huroob on Expatriates)

Jawazat has also informed that any employer will be unable to cancel Huroob status through Absher Online, the only way to cancel Huroob status of labour is approaching in person to Expats Jawazat building within a span of 15 days.

Jawazat also gave a warning to all expatriates and Employers not to accommodate or transport any illegal expats in the kingdom and those who will violates this will be penalized.

Small establishments will be fined SR 100,000 and will also prevent those companies to recruit for five year, if any illegal employment found.

MOL have warned the employers against false huroob statements which are issues against their expat workers and stated that it will stop its services for 5 years to employers who play with the future of expatriate workers by manipulating huroob reports against them.

Earlier, many employers have played with the system and marked false Huroob reports for expatriates, where the expatriates have suffered a lot due to and they have to pay the employers more amount for cancellation of Huroob and the employers will make more money.

Ministry of Labor & Social Development has launched an initiative in the kingdom where Expatriates can appeals against their employers for accusing a false Huroob on them or for false report making for not coming to work.

To appeal or challenge against Huroob with employers or sponsors it is important for every expat to have a valid Iqama. One cannot appeal against Huroob if his Iqama has expired.

How to Appeal?

Any Expat Employee can appeal or challenge false Huroob report by his employer by Filing an objection plea in the official website of Ministry of Labor & Social development (www.msld.gov.sa)

Once the Expat employee has filed a plea, Employee or Kafeels (Sponsors) cannot report Huroob to employees

This initiative was taken by Ministry of Labor & Social development to prevent flse Huroob Reports by employers and reduce the misuse of Huroob service by employers and Sponsors.

It also aims that employers will now report only accurate Huroob which will create a healthy relationsihp between Employee & Employer.

Most of the Expatriates Living in Saudi Arabia face this situation when Huroob status is implied on them by their Sponsors.

3) Once the pleas is registered, KSA government will check your history sheet for any criminal records and then the authorities will do the needful.

4) From the Embassy, apply for the Emergency passport of your country, but in some cases your passport will be with your sponsor or Kafeel. Try to get it from him or inform the Embassy.

5) Once you’ve your Emergency passport, you ca easily get deported after taking the fingerprints and document verification.

6) Make sure that you have paid all penalties and fines under your Iqama in Saudi Arabia.

7) Also check for any traffic violations, if any.

Once all these above things are done, you can get a Final Exit from Saudi Arabia.

All these conditions are applied on those having Huroob status in their Iqama and wanted Fianl exit from Saudi Arabia without going to Jail.

– Open Internet Banking on any Bank in Saudi Arabia
– Go to Payments Sections

– Then go to Government Payments and then check for the word ‘Deportation Control’

Deportation Control means controlling your Deport from going to home country.

Once you Click on Deportation Control, Check for Absconded Status and select the application type.

After selecting the Application type, you’ll have to enter the Iqama number  under the Violator ID to remove the Huroob status.
