Penalties for vehicle insurance violations to resume from July 22

The services which were resumes were vehicle registration, vehicle insurance have resumed after the return to normal life following the suspension due to the exceptional circumstances caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus, stressing the need to comply with the provisions and executive regulations of the traffic system.

The traffic department added that vehicle insurance guarantees the rights of those affected by accidents.

The mechanism that the traffic department applies stipulates that when any traffic violation is registered on the vehicle, the vehicle record is automatically checked, and when it becomes clear that there is no insurance on the vehicle, the violation of the absence of insurance is recorded.

The Colonel Engineer Ali Al Zahrani said that this law will be implied from 1^st  of November 2019 , to all the vehicle whose number plates are of Gulf countries including Kuwait.

Those who have failed to pay their traffic fines and have any pending challans against their Iqama will be stopped at the border of the kingdom.

This rule will be implemented starting Nov 1 2019.

No Final Exit Visa If Traffic Fines are Pending in KSA

These standards will be monitored on all the outskirt ports and Air terminal .  Any person who did not clear even a single criminal offence fine will not be allowed to get the Final Exit Visa until and unless they clear up their due.

In the guidance of the Ministry of Interior , as per the given instructions, traffic violators whose fines are still not cleared up will be stopped at the Al Rigae, Khafji and Batha land ports commencing from the 1^st of November.

DEADLINE OF TIME FOR LAUNCHING THE E-SERVICE FOR ELECTRONIC COMPLAINT OF TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS

As per the statements made by the Interior Ministry of Saudi , it is Al-Qasim Region where the first phase of this e-service will be launched and then it will be applied across the Saudi Arabian Kingdom before the end of the year 2019

Crossing or Beating the red light – Fine of 3000 SAR

Driving without licence – Fine of 1000 SAR

Using phone while driving – Fine of 500 SAR

Plate number shoud be in the middle front and back of the car. Not in the left or right side – Fine of 1000 to 5000 SAR
