(Rajab 8.).

As per the Ministry of Interior, all arrivals to the Kingdom as citizens or visitors must show a negative PCR test result within in the 48 hours preceding departing, regardless of vaccination status.

The ministry stated that the restrictions have been imposed as a result of a continuous monitoring to the situation in terms of epidemiology both locally and globally, and in line with the steps that are being implemented by the Kingdom to stop the spreading of Covid 19 and ensure the public health.New COVID Travel Restrictions in KSA

The report stated that those who want to travel outside of the Kingdom must receive an additional dose to ensure they’ve completed the required three months following the second dose.

Children younger than 16 years of age or in groups that are excluded according to the Tawakkalna app are exempt from the obligation.

Anyone who travels to the Kingdom regardless of vaccination status, must provide an approved negative test for PCR or a negative antigen test within 48 hours of the date they leave or day of their entry to the Kingdom the ministry stated.

Children under 8 years old are not eligible due to the laws in their country of origin regarding Covid prevention of infection.

The results of a test reveal they have contracted the coronavirus are able to travel to the Kingdom without the requirement of an PCR test, provided that 7 days has passed after the time they tested positive and they have been given the doses of vaccine accepted in the Kingdom.

New Travel Restrictions in Saudi Arabia starting 9th Feb

Saudi travellers who have not had all the doses approved by the vaccine can come to enter only after 10 days after testing positive for Covid-19.

The ministry stated that the new restrictions would take effect on Wednesday, February. 9 at around 1:00 a.m.

The ministry’s source stated that everyone needs to adhere to the strictest precautionary measures and approved health guidelines, while at the while speeding the process of completing of all vaccines approved for use. Children younger than 16 years of age or in groups that are excluded according to the Tawakkalna app are exempt from the obligation.

Anyone who travels to the Kingdom regardless of vaccination status, must submit a test for PCR or a negative antigen test within 48 hours of the date they leave or date of entry into the Kingdom according to the ministry.

Saudi citizens who wish to travel outside of the country will be able to travel only if they’ve received the third or booster dose of coronavirus vaccination.

Children under 8 years old are exempted based on the laws in their country of origin in relation to Covid the control of infections.

People whose tests indicate that they are infected by the coronavirus can be admitted to the Kingdom without having to undergo an PCR test if 7 days has passed after they were tested positive and they have received the doses accepted in the Kingdom.

Saudi travellers who haven’t had all the doses approved by the vaccine can come to enter only after 10 days of being positive for Covid-19.

The ministry announced that the new restrictions will go into effect on the Wednesday of February. 9 at 11:30 a.m.

The source from the ministry stated that everyone needs to adhere to all preventive steps and health guidelines, while at the simultaneously speeding up the delivery of all vaccine doses that have been approved.

The government, which operates 587 vaccination centers throughout the country, has asked those who haven’t yet had their vaccinations to sign up for them on its Sehhaty application.

Testing centers and treatment centers have assisted millions of patients since the beginning of the pandemic.

Saudi Arabia Closes Borders for a Week

All international travel is restricted due to appearance of a new wave of coronavirus across other countries. Only Emergency cases are allowed with proper precautions and measures. In a recent news Vaccination has been started in the kingdom for all the residents.

Here are the following decisions taken by Saudi Arabia:

  1. Suspension of International Flights except emergency cases for a week, which might get extended for another week. Any foreign flights which are already in the kingdom are allowed to leave the kingdom
  2. Land & sea borders are also closed for a week an can be extended for another week too.
  3. People who have returned to the kingdom from European countries after December 8th 2020, must adhere to the following:
    • Self-Quarantine for two weeks from the date of arrival in Saudi Arabia
    • Testing Coronavirus every five days during quarantine days (2 weeks)
    • Anyone, who has returned from or passed through a European country or any country where the new strain of COVID-19 appeared over the past three months, must take a coronavirus test.

Based on the measures and the situation in the next two week, Ministry of Interior will assess and take a decision
