Fuel Prices 2025: Saudi Arabia Raises Diesel Price from SAR 1.15 to SAR 1.66 Starting January 1, 2025

Saudi Aramco has increased diesel prices in Saudi Arabia to SR (Saudi Riyals)1.66 ($0.44) per liter, starting from Jan. 1, 2025, which is a 44.3 percent increase compared to early 2024.

Diesel Prices / Gasoline 95 Updates Prices in Jan 2025

According to the latest update on Aramco’s website, gasoline prices remain the same, with Gasoline 91 at SR (Saudi Riyals) 2.18 per liter and Gasoline 93 at SR (Saudi Riyals)2.33 per liter.

Increased Petrol Fuel Prices in Saudi Arabia 2020 with VAT

Saudi Aramco has announce new Gasoline prices after the addition of 15% VAT on actual prices. The new prices of Petrol were increased from 1st of July 2020 with addition of Value Added Tax.

Increased Petrol Fuel Prices in Saudi Arabia

New Petrol or Gasoline Prices in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 1st July 2020 after the addition of VAT are give below:

Gasoline 91 Price in Saudi: 0.98 SAR / litre

Gasoline 95 Price in Saudi: 1.18 SAR / litre

Diesel Price in Saudi: 0.52 SAR / litre

Kerosene Price in Saudi: 0.70 SAR / litre

LPG Price in Saudi: 0.75 SAR / litre

This decision was taken by Saudi Aramco after adding VAT to the actual prices. Value added Tax was increased from 5% to 15% on all goods and services across kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Hike in Fuel Prices in KSA from January 2018

Fuel Prices in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are expeced to increase from Jaunary 2018. This information was was provided by The General autohrity of Zakat & Tax that VAT will be applied when purchacing Fuel (Petrol & Diesel).

5% VAT will be applied on purchase of Petrol & Diesel form January 2018.

This information was obtained from Social Media and The General autohrity of Zakat & Tax (GAZT) said that “The VAT rate of 5% for Petrol willbe applied starting January 1,2018”.

Current Fuel Price in Saudi Arabia (KSA):

Petrol 91 – 0.75 SAR
petrol 95 – 0.90 SAR
Diesel – 0.45 SAR

Expected New Fuel Price in Saudi Arabia (KSA):

Petrol 91 – 0.78 SAR
petrol 95 – 0.95 SAR
Diesel – 0.47 SAR

No More Low Prices on Petrol in Saudi Arabia

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia may increase the petrol & jet fuel prices by 80% this year. First change might happen in Riyadh to reduce it budget deficiency it would increase the Petrol Pries first than the other forms of Gasoline.

Domestic Petrol Prices may Rise Up to 80% in Saudi Arabia and would be matching the price of International Petrol Rates of other countries.

According to Bloomberg, the person said that the government was planning to increase other fuel prices gradually between 2018 and 2021, but gasoline and jet fuel would only be subject to a one time raise before the end of 2017

Saudi Arabia Fuel Hike – Up to 50%

Saudi Arabia Government has announced that it will raise the prices of domestic petrol prices by more than 50% for few products and will cut few subsidies after the Saudi Budget 2017 was announced. This decision was taken due the budget deficit in 2017.

It was said that Prices for Electricity, Water, Diesel and other Petroleum products.

Here are the Current Fuel Prices – Dec 2016

Petrol 91 – 75 halala/ Ltr

Petrol 95 – 90 halala/ Ltr

The council decided to raise the price of higher-grade unleaded petrol to 0.90 riyals ($0.33) per litre from 0.60 riyals ($.22), a hike of 50 per cent, and for lower-grade petrol to 0.75 riyals ($0.28) from 0.45 riyals ($0.37) per litre, a 67 per cent rise.
