The Sacred Grave of Hazrat Adam (AS) – Islamic History https://saudiexpatriate.com/the-sacred-grave-of-hazrat-adam-as-islamic-history/ https://saudiexpatriate.com/the-sacred-grave-of-hazrat-adam-as-islamic-history/#respond Sat, 04 Mar 2023 09:01:35 +0000 https://saudiexpatriate.com/?p=5735 Hazrat Adam, the first man according to Islamic belief. Our aim is to provide you with comprehensive information on this topic and help you better understand its significance.

The Sacred Grave of Hazrat Adam (AS) - Islamic History

Where is the Grave of Hazrat Adam?

People have talked about where Hazrat Adam’s grave is for hundreds of years. Islamic tradition says that Hazrat Adam was buried in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which is thought to be where he came down from heaven. But there are a lot of other ideas and beliefs about where his grave is.

Hazrat Adam (AS) in Quran & hadith

The word Adam A.S is mentioned 25 times in Quran in 25 verses.

Sahih Bukhari Mentions

Narrated by Abu Huraira: The Prophet (S.A.W.) said, “Allah created Adam, making him 60 cubits tall” (Al-Bukhari: 3326)

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Apostle said, “Adam and Moses argued with each other. Moses said to Adam. ‘You are Adam whose mistake expelled you from Paradise.’ Adam said to him, ‘You are Moses whom Allah selected as His Messenger and as the one to whom He spoke directly; yet you blame me for a thing which had already been written in my fate before my creation?”‘ Allah’s Apostle said twice, “So, Adam overpowered Moses.”

Hazrat Adam’s Life and Teachings

Being the first human being Allah created, Hazrat Adam was tasked with spreading humanity over the globe. He was in paradise up until the point when he succumbed to Satan’s temptation and consumed fruit from the cursed tree, causing him to be kicked out. Allah pardoned him, nevertheless, and granted him the opportunity to survive on the planet.

The significance of asking pardon and repentance is one of the most crucial teachings we can take away from Hazrat Adam’s life. Even after making a mistake, he maintained his faith in Allah and continued to adore him. He also stressed the value of upholding Allah’s teachings and leading a moral life to his kids.

Hazrat Adam (AS) Children

We have not come across a narration of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) which clarifies the number of children of Aadam may Allaah exalt his mention but the history books mentioned that he had 40 children.

Mount Qubais in Makkah

According to at-Tabari, Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) died at the foot of (Mount Qubais in Makkah) Jabal Abu Qubais and was subsequently buried there.
