<\/p>\nThe General Directorate for Public Security have re-determined the speed limits on highways from 2nd February 2018 onwards.<\/p>\n
These re-determination of speed limits are in plac to protect drivers and ensure safety.<\/p>\n
New Speed Limits for Light-motor vehicles can travel at maximum speed of 140 km\/h while buses at 100 km\/h and trucks at 80 km\/h.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Director of public relations at Public Security Agency, said the new speed limit signs have been put up on highways, calling upon drivers not to exceed the speed limit.<\/p>\n

The Eight highways are:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n 1- Riyadh-Taif Highway (west) \u2013 Exit (5) up to Exit (54)
\n2- Riyadh-Taif Highway (east) \u2013 Exit 54 up to Muzahimiya Checkpoint
\n3- Riyadh-Alqassim Highway (north) \u2013 Exit 6 up to Industrial Area 2 Bridge
\n4- Alqassim-Riyadh Highway (south) \u2013 Industrial Area 2 Bridge up to Exit (6)
\n5 \u2013 Makkah-Madinah Highway (north) \u2013 Bariman Bridge up to Exit (8)
\n6- Makkah-Madinah Highway (south) \u2013 Exit (8) up to Bariman Bridge
\n7- Madinah-Jeddah Highway (south) \u2013 Exit (8) up to Exit (35)
