<\/p>\nWin 100,000 Riyals if you are living in Saudi Arabia by just naming a rock in Al Ula Rock Naming contest ‘Name A Rock’.<\/p>\n
The Royal Commission of Al-Ula (which is a part of north western Saudi Arabia) has launched a competition called ‘Name A Rock’ contest in which the participants should provide names to the rock formations in the governorate.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Registrations: (End in 2 months)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Participants should take a photo of a unique rock formation in Al-Ula and suggest a name for it. In addition, participants should provide the reason behind the naming and locate the rock on the map.<\/p>\n The top 3 winners will be granted with the following monetary awards:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1st Place: 100,000 Saudi Riyals<\/p>\n 2nd Place: 75,000 Saudi Riyals<\/p>\n 3rd Place: 50,000 Saudi Riyals<\/p>\n Nominations: (18th Nov – 24th Nov)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria: 1- Uniqueness of the rock formation 2- Uniqueness of the reason behind the naming of the rock formation. 3- Relevance of the name to the rock formation or to a story related to the history of Al-Ula civilization.<\/p>\n Voting (25th Nov – 1st Dec)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n In the voting stage, top 10 submissions are presented to the audience for online voting to determine the winners. Public voting counts towards 50% of the winners’ selection.<\/p>\n
