{"id":3001,"date":"2019-08-04T11:19:16","date_gmt":"2019-08-04T11:19:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saudiexpatriate.com\/?p=3001"},"modified":"2019-08-04T07:26:54","modified_gmt":"2019-08-04T07:26:54","slug":"mazoun-penalized-child-marriage-saudi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saudiexpatriate.com\/mazoun-penalized-child-marriage-saudi\/","title":{"rendered":"Mazoun to be penalized for Child Marriage in Saudi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Marraige official (Mazoun) is being followed upon by a Justice Minister in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for marrying a 10 year olf girl child.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Minister Walid Mohammed Al-Samaani has forwarded this to the Ministry of Labor &amp; Social development as its a violation of Child Protection Law in Saudi Arabia and Mazoun has violated this law.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignnone  wp-image-3002 aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 635 439'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/saudiexpatriate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Mazoun-to-be-penalized-for-Child-Marriage-in-Saudi-SaudiExpatriate.com_.jpg\" alt=\"Mazoun to be penalized for Child Marriage in Saudi\" width=\"635\" height=\"439\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As per the ministry, these cases are dealt only by courts to protect the minor girls against any physical or psychological harms.<\/p>\n<p>As per the sources the girls was born in 1431H which means she is in her 10th year of age.<\/p>\n<p>Marriage officials, under the system, should not conduct marriage contracts involving girls who are under the age of 17.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Child Protection Law, young girls should have the priority in psychological, security, health and social assistance and accommodation, when married.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Marraige official (Mazoun) is being followed upon by a Justice Minister in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for marrying a 10 year olf girl child.
