Saudi Government (Saudi Labor Law) says that the weekend days leave of an employee shouldn&#8217;t be subtracted from his annual leave.<\/p>\n<p>Every Individual Company in the Kingdom who is cutting they employee weekend leave and counts them as Annual leave will cause a violation of Saudi Arabia Labor Laws and that company will have to pay fine of 1,00,000 SAR (Saudi Riyals).<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignnone  wp-image-750 aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 464 262'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/saudiexpatriate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Fine-of-100000-Saudi-Riyals-for-Weekend-Rule-Violation-SaudiExpatriate.com_.jpg\" alt=\"Fine of 1,00,000 Saudi Riyals for Weekend Rule Violation-SaudiExpatriate.com\" width=\"464\" height=\"262\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As per the <a href=\"https:\/\/saudiexpatriate.com\/saudi-labor-law-updated-2017-overview-ksa-labor-laws\/\"><strong>Saudi Labor Law<\/strong><\/a>, any employees weekends are not considered as a part of annual leave.<\/p>\n<p>Weekend leaves are spearate from Annual leaves and Employers shouldn&#8217;t count weekend leaves as a part of Annual leaves.<\/p>\n<p>As most of the Expatriates living in Saudi Arabia aren&#8217;t aware of all the Saudi Labor Laws, many companies have been counting their weekends in annual leaves.<\/p>\n<p>But, now if a company is violating Saudi Labor law and couting Weekend leaves as Annual leave will have to pay a huge fine of 1,00,000 Saudi Riyals (SAR).<\/p>\n<p>Hoping that these Fines and Laws are towards helping all the foreigners and Expatriates living in Saudi Arabia and getting their weekend leaves separately apart from the annual leave.<\/p>\n<p>If any such fine is imposed to a company and if the payment is delayed, then they will have to pay double fine and repeating the same violation can also Shut down the company.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Great News for all the Expatriates.
